Teenage Cancer Trust
"The thought of having to face cancer alone, without my friends around me really scared me… the Teenage Cancer Trust unit and staff made such a difference to me; without them I would have been lost." Fiona, 17
Every day in the UK, six young people like Fiona hear the devastating news they have cancer. Usually treated on wards with babies or elderly patients at the end of their lives, they often feel scared and isolated.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity in the UK that builds units within existing hospitals designed just for young people (aged 13-24) to provide specialist care and bring young people with cancer together - so they can support each other through grueling treatment at a very traumatic time in their lives.
Only half of young people with cancer in the UK have access to Teenage Cancer Trust units and we receive no government funding, so please support the Believe Campaign to help young people fight cancer, improve their quality of life and their chances of survival.
