Founded in 2002, the Decibels Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 dedicated to helping children with hearing loss and their families, and the professionals who serve them. The mission of the Decibels Foundation is to ensure that (1) children with hearing loss and their families receive specialized early intervention services, (2) they have access to necessary technology and equipment, and (3) the professionals working with this population in school settings are knowledgeable about the unique challenges these children face and are supported in helping these students succeed to their full potential. We are also able to reach children with hearing loss and their families in the care of the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Children's Hospital Boston through our partnership with the Caroline Bass Fund. Combined, the Decibels Foundation and the Caroline Bass Fund at Children's Hospital have invested nearly $1,000,000 to help children with hearing loss.
