The Wood Family Foundation will work to improve the lives of children in and around Chicago by raising funds and awareness for children's charities and the causes they support. It raises funds through events, sponsorships and donations. The Foundation is committed to working toward funding both immediate and long-term relief projects for various children's issues. The Foundation's largest initial effort involves funding a playroom for the children receiving treatment for cancer at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. The Foundation also sponsors various "drives" to encourage donations such as school supplies, clothing, and toys for children in need and children's charities which the Foundation supports in and around Chicago. The Wood Family Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) that strives to be an advocate for children in the Chicago community, inspiring others to join them in its mission of giving children the resources they need to succeed.
