1. Achievements are Submitted & Published
Submit an Achievement
Charities, socially conscious businesses, volunteers, and college students over the age of 18 can submit Achievements for the CLASSY Awards until 11:59 P.M. PST, June 14, 2012. Find the Submission Form here.
Achievement is Proofread
StayClassy staff will check each charity participants' 501(c)(3) standing using Guidestar's Charity Check, and each Achievement will be proofread and edited for grammar, spelling, and professionalism.
Achievement is Published
After it's been proofread, your Achievement will be published as a news article on the CLASSY Awards Website within approximately one (1) week of its submission. StayClassy will send you a link to your Published Achievement.
2. Regional Voting & Judging
Top 5 Regional Finalists (June 15 - July 8)
StayClassy will determine the top five (5) Finalists in each region in each category (16 categories total) based on impact, originality and category fit. The 320 Regional Finalists will be announced to the public on July 9.
Public Voting & Judging (July 9 - July 26)
For three (3) weeks, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate in each category. Voting ends at 11:59 P.M. PST on July 26, 2012.
While the public is casting their votes, a panel of past CLASSY Awards Winners will judge and score each Regional Finalist based on impact, originality and category fit.
Regional Winners (July 31)
The Regional Winners in each category will be determined by a combination of the Public Vote (50%) and the Past Winners JudgingPanel (50%). The Regional Winners will be announced on July 31.
3. National Judging
Picking the National Winners
The CLASSY Awards Leadership Council, a group of top leaders within the philanthropic community, representing an array of charities, philanthropists, industry organizations, media groups and celebrities, will serve as the democratic voice of the CLASSY Awards, determining the 16 National CLASSY Awards Winners based on the merit and impact of their Achievements.
