| Stay Classy is proud to announce our commitment to sustainability through the Elemental Experience. Since our company inception, we have taken great strides to make all of our events as environmentally friendly as possible. The Elemental Experience is our most sustainable event yet, check it out below: | |

| Recycle and Reuse Our goal for every event is simple: reduce overall consumption, and then recycle and reuse everything else. From banning harmful materials to reducing festival waste, Stay Classy has analyzed every aspect of the event to ensure we are keeping our waste as lean as possible. Our goal is to compost our "trash" (food scraps), and recycle everything else. As our recycling program develops, we’ll be adding full details on the website. | |
| Offset our Carbon After we’ve reduced and recycled all that we can, we start to look at other, more challenging aspects of the event ’ namely transportation to and from the festival. This is where our green ticketing comes in; you as an attendee can chose to purchase a renewable energy credit to help support a project elsewhere in the region that will offset an equal amount of greenhouse gas. | |
| Alternative Energies With our partnership with Sustainable Waves, we are able to power approximately 90% of the festival through solar panels and wind turbines! Yup, you got it ’ 90% of the energy required for things like lighting, sound, and vending, will be coming from renewable sources. The other 10% comes from the tricky, high power requirement spots (like main stage sound), where we’ll use bio-diesel generators. | |
| Vending Restrictions Stay Classy is working closely with our catering partner, EBS to make sure all of the vending operations are as environmentally friendly as possible. For starters, all Styrofoam and other hazardous materials are strictly banned from the festival. All food and draft beverages will be served using corn-based compostable cutlery, food prep areas will be maintained with toxic-free cleaners, and EBS will recycle any grease into future bio-diesel fuel. Additionally, Stay Classy vows to use all organic, and locally grown food choices, when at all possible. | |
| Signage & Printed Material Our overall philosophy on printing? Don’t print anything that isn’t absolutely necessary, and for the things we do print, reuse them in future years. We’ve partnered with Ben Dehart, the phenomenal artist who does all the chalk drawings at Trader Joe’s, to produce 90% of the event signage in…yup, you guessed it, chalk. This way we can reuse these signs each year and avoid the typical waste of one-use banners that have silly things like dates and times on them (come on people!). For the banners we do print, we use 100% VOC and solvent free inks, on 100% recyclable materials. And event programs? Who needs them! Stay Classy has vowed to creatively display important information to our guests, and not print a single event program to save even more paper. | |
| Transportation Options The Elemental Experience is situated in east Pacific Beach right off of the highway 5, so it’s really easy to commute to the Festival by carpooling, taking public transportation, biking or walking (for locals). Stay Classy encourages all attendees to consider arriving at the festival by alternative means. If you need to travel by car, consider carpooling or signing up for a Share-a-Ride program!
