Thanks to a crew of amazing people from all walks of life, a 21 minute short film has been produced - CAPTURE: A WAVES Documentary. Already it's been screened at a number of Film Festivals. If you'd like to host one near you, please let us know: capturedoc@wavesfordevelopment.org. For more details and updates on the production story / screenings - check out the BLOG.
Our goal is to use the film to raise $25k to grow programs in Peru. Currently WAVES Education programs are positively affecting the lives of over 200 youth through English, Environment and Entrepreneurship classes (Surf and Swim, too!) in the community of Lobitos. A few have gone on to receive scholarships for further education after high school and opened their own businesses.
This is what WAVES does - provides nontraditional Education that leads to jobs and/or more education!
We'd like to grow the impact beyond one community and respond to the multiple requests we've received from other local governments in places like Chicama and Cabo Blanco. Will you help make WAVES?
