Want to earn some premium noveling goodies for your class and support the mission of the NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program? You’ve come to the right place!
Start a classroom sponsorship page, and be an even larger part of our effort to spread the joy of noveling. You'll be able to help collect tax-deductible donations for the Young Writers Program from NaNo fans worldwide, as well as your local school community.
Now, how about those goodies?
Classrooms that collect $50 in sponsorships receive:
- 35 official NaNoWriMo YWP pencils
- 35 NaNoWriMo YWP “First-Class Novelist” stickers
Classrooms that collect $250 in sponsorships receive:
- 35 NaNoWriMo “NaNoLand” posters
- Plus all $50 prizes
Classrooms that collect $500 in sponsorships receive:
- 35 full-color, personalized, signed, and stamped NaNoWriMo YWP 2011 winner and participant certificates
- Plus all $250 and $50 prizes
Classrooms that collect $750 in sponsorships receive:
- 35 NaNoWriMo YWP “First-Class Novelist” t-shirts or 2011 winner shirts
- Plus all $500, $250, and $50 prizes
What else do you need to know?
Once you establish your classroom sponsorship page, you'll have until the end of NaNoWriMo (November 30 at 11:59 PM) to raise money for rewards. We'll ship your gifts in the first week of December.
You can publicize your page through your school community (newsletter, class email list, etc.) or your own social media. We'll also showcase fundraising classrooms on a page on the NaNoWriMo site. Remember, the more detail you have about your class and your noveling efforts, the more intrigued people will be. Photos and anecdotes are great!
Why do we want your help?
This year, the YWP will send complimentary classroom kits to over 2,500 educators around the world, at an average cost of $10 per kit. In addition, we continue to provide high-quality teaching materials free of charge on our website. We rely primarily on grassroots donations to make this possible.
