Lymphedema Awareness Month
Get Involved - Lymphedema D-Day and Lymphedema Awareness Month
In 1994, the NLN created the first Lymphedema D-Day to recognize inspirational patients, caregivers, and therapists and to advocate for lymphedema awareness. Since then, recognition of lymphedema as a prevalent condition has grown nationwide. This year, we are thrilled to declare March 2013 as our first Lymphedema Awareness Month!
During this time of year, we urge you to reach out to your friends, family, healthcare providers, and community to spread the word about lymphedema. By putting the national spotlight on lymphedema, we move closer to making a change!
How you can participate:
In conjunction with our first Lymphedema Awareness Month, we are raising funds for a concerted nationwide awareness effort – our most ambitious plan to date! Every cent raised on this site will help us create FREE Educational Kits that will be sent to all hospitals and oncology practices in the US. You can make a one-time donation or make your own page to get your friends and family involved. It’s simple!
Together we can spread awareness and Give Voice™ to Lymphedema
