Rebuild Milton Fire & Rescue
On March 2nd 2012, Milton Fire & Rescue Station # 2 in Milton Kentucky was hit by an EF-3 tornado. They lost the Fire Staion, a 1983 Spartan Fire Engine, a mobile fish fry trailer, protective equipment, radios and pagers, and some other items that were stored at this station.
As an all volunteer department, they relied on the income they earned catering special events with their mobile fish fry trailer.
Insurance has refused to cover much of the loss. Without the ability to replace their lost revenue source, Milton Fire and Rescue faces the possibility they may have to discontinue service. Not only does that mean property insurance rates may increase in their community, but lives may even be lost.
National Firefighters Endowment has launched a nationwide initiative to help Milton rebuild. Together we can respond to their aid when they need us most.
100% of donations will go directly to the Rebuild Milton Fire & Rescue Project. Donations are tax deductable as allowed.
