Event Details
In celebration of 20 successful years, L.A. Works will coordinate and manage Los Angeles' first annual service crawl to highlight the importance of service, expose individuals to a variety of issues affecting LA, raise funds to support L.A. Works' ongoing free volunteer programming, and provide our nonprofit partners with volunteer support.
WHAT: This exciting and unique form of service is an opportunity for your friends, family and colleagues to get together and support the LA nonprofit community in just a few hours time. Experience a cross-section of nonprofits as your team "crawls" from site to site solving clues, completing tasks, and competing for some great prizes! Each team will be asked to raise funds to participate (similar to a walk-a-thon-type experience). Teams must sign up on the L.A. Works website to secure their spot in the Service Crawl. Registration will close on Sunday, November 6th.
WHEN: Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 9:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: L.A. Works Headquarters @ 570 West Avenue 26, LA 90065 AND within a 5 mile radius of our headquarters
WHO: Team Requirements
- Twenty teams will be accepted to participate on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There must be a minimum of three people per team and no more than six people.
- Crawlers must be at least 5 years old.
HOW to SIGN UP YOUR TEAM: Each team captian must sign up their team on the L.A. Works website to participate in the Service Crawl. To be eligible to participate, all team members must make a fundraising page on StayClassy.org and contribute at least $20 by November 6th.
