Imagine a day when nearly 3 million people work up a sweat for a cause. Saturday, October 13th, 2012 is that day. Sweaty Saturday is the first day New York City is devoting entirely to fitness, health and wellness. Sweaty Saturday brings together New York City’s finest fitness studios, health brands and wellness experts. Studios will offer special classes, amazing music, and there will be plenty of nutritional advice, limited- edition goodies, raffles and giveaways.

And while you’re doing your body good, you’re also doing something else equally valuable: A portion of the proceeds from Sweaty Saturday will go to HealthCorps®, whose wellness movement is shaping a new generation of healthy young people nationwide.

Participating studios will pledge a minimum of $500 towards Sweaty Saturday all of which will go to HealthCorps! Sweaty Saturday affiliate studios will offer special classes and events all day long and invite regulars and newbies alike to partake. They’ll be celebrity appearances, in-house DJs, exclusive merchandise, nutritional consultations and lots of giveaways.

Sweaty Saturday was the brainchild of several fitness entrepreneurs who are devoted to helping New Yorkers and America’s children stay healthy and fit. To learn more about Sweaty Saturday and get involved, contact lauren@sltnyc.com.
