Kids Play Int’l (KPI) organizes several volunteer trips each year that combine rewarding volunteer work with traditional travel and tourism to help support the local economy and experience the culture, countryside and wildlife of each country.
Kids Play Int’l (KPI) encourages volunteers to begin their volunteering abroad experience with FUNDRAISING. Fundraising not only helps volunteers fulfill their dream of volunteering abroad, it also helps promote awareness of international issues.

NOTE: When on-line fundraising for your volunteer trip: 80% of funds will go toward that persons volunteer trip expenses and 20% will go toward supporting our Let's Play and Girls Dream Big Programs.

OLYMPIC ATHLETE TRIP LEADERS:
KPI volunteer trips are led by one of our Olympic athlete Ambassadors. All trip leaders have been on prior trips, are well traveled, trained and are familiar with the host country, culture and understand first hand the impact that sport can have on youth in developing countries.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER:
KPI looks for volunteers of all ages, who are flexible, open minded travelers wanting a real, firsthand experience and are interested in sports, active play, health, fitness and education.
Kids under 18 must travel with a parent, guardian or chaperone.
ABOUT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
KPI volunteer teams transport much needed sports equipment to rural communities in Africa, and will experience an active, hands on humanitarian trip that uses sports to educate, inform and play with children of all ages at local orphanages, primary and secondary schools. Volunteers will also meet and play sports with the kids who are participating in and benefiting from KPI’s Let’s Play! Community program. During each trip there will be a project for volunteers to work on.
Additionally, you will explore and encounter the beautiful countryside, people, markets, villages unique to that country. Additionally, you will help support local toursim by going Gorilla Trekking, Add-on Safari to Tanzania or by visiting the Killing Fields and Angkor Wat, the largest Hindu temple in the world!
TYPICAL DAY:
Volunteers arrive at site by 9am to work on projects and/or visit a local school; set up sports room, build soccer goals or volleyball net/court. After lunch, volunteers gather 50-100 kids from a school/or orphanage and meet on a local field. KPI will lead a group stretch, talk about and incorporate a life skill lesson, run through drills for the sport of the day and then PLAY! Volunteers return to hotel around 5PM.
KPI will try and allot for free time during the trip for other activities that volunteers may enjoy doing on their own with the children; arts & crafts, games, reading, jump rope, etc.
