Not only is the Fire Run an exciting run/walk along a beautiful course in a fun environment, it’s a fundraising event for our local heroes, the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation (SDFRF). The SDFRF was established in 2005 as a public charity to raise funds for the purpose of supporting the firefighters, lifeguards, paramedics and EMTs of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The Foundation accomplishes its mission by supplying the men and women of the Department with the equipment and training they require to provide the highest level of emergency response service to the citizens of San Diego in the safest possible manner. When you register for the Fire Run, we encourage you to make a contribution towards this amazing San Diego organization. |
