We are proud to walk in support of bladder cancer for the very first time in Atlanta on May 5, 2012 in Piedmont Park at 9 am. My name is Betty Walker Treschitta and I lost my father and best friend to bladder cancer in May of 2010. This year will mark the second anniversary of his passing and I can't think of a better way to honor him than to organize this walk. Please join us as we will walk together through Piedmont Park to fight this terrible disease. If we can increase awareness, we can raise money, save lives, and honor our loved ones!!!

Where:            Piedmont Park, Atlanta, GA

Time:               Registration opens at 8:30 am

            Group photo will be taken at 8:45 am

            The Walk begins at 9 am

            After Party/Brunch will be at the Park Tavern at 11:30 am

 

What to Wear

There will be a few extra t-shirts at the registration table for the first walkers who arrive. If you did not get your t-shirt order in, feel free to wear one of the bladder cancer colors, which are blue, marigold, and purple.

 

Getting to the Walk

Parking:

The closest parking lot is next to the Park Tavern off of Monroe Drive (next to the intersection of 10th Street). The address of the Park Tavern is 500 10th Street Northeast Atlanta, GA 30309

Free parking is available in the adjacent neighborhoods.

 

Registration Table

Our team will have a registration table that is open at 8:30am. Registration is free and walkers will be able to sign in after 8:30. We will take photos prior to the start of the walk. Everyone will need to sign a photo release form to participate in the group photo. Special thanks to Veronica Tompkins and Mandy Hoover for volunteering to staff the registration table.
