THE GREAT BULLFROG & BAUM LEAP YEAR RACE

Here at Bullfrog & Baum our love for frog-related items runs deep. Between the frog gummy candies, children’s toys, stuffed animals and other miscellaneous frog paraphernalia one might say we have developed an obsession.

With Leap Year occurring only once every four years (and fast approaching) we decided it was only fitting to create a fun event in honor of the big day.   This week we adopted four lovely amphibians from our local pet store.  Over the next two weeks, these frogs will train to become athletic leaping machines – all in the name of charity.

“The Great Bullfrog & Baum Leap Year Race” - a competition of speed and hopping abilities – will benefit four charities - Share Our Strength, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Edible Schoolyard and City Harvest – with one frog competing for each.

“The Great Bullfrog & Baum Leap Year Race” will take place at 3:00 PM EST on Wednesday, February 29th at our New York office.  The friendly competition will be broadcast live on Ustream for the world to watch. These amphibious athletes have been training hard and would like to encourage their friends and family to donate to their charity (or frog) of choice. Through our collaboration with www.sixdegrees.org donations are sent directly to the individual charities.  And Bullfrog & Baum will match the donations collected by the winning frog!

While we work with these little leapers to prepare for the big race, we encourage you to join us in the Leap Year celebration and support one of these great charities.

Please know that no frogs will be harmed in the process of this fundraiser and that all frogs will be re-adopted by our local partner pet store once the race is complete.
