Hey everybody! Thanks for taking time out of your day to check out my fundraising page! I am trying to raise at least $1000 within the next month or so for The SAMFund foundation. Hopefully we can raise a whole lot more than $1000!!! The SAMFund foundation helped me last year after my cancer treatments to help pay for my car insurance payments for six months and I am trying to raise some more money for the foundation!
I want to personally thank everyone who was there for me last year. All of your thoughts and prayers were truely what kept me going. Thank you so much!
I’m proud to be part of The SAMFund’s Grand Plan to help young adult cancer survivors move forward after treatment.
We all know how tough it is to be a young adult in this economy. Living expenses are high. Job prospects are low. Our health insurance system is broken and medications and monthly premiums cost an arm and a leg.
So can you imagine how hard it is for young adults who also have a history of cancer? On top of the same expenses we all face, they also have thousands of dollars in medical bills, no savings left after treatment, and are too old to be on their parents’ insurance. Luckily there is one resource they can turn to…
The SAMFund is the only organization in the country that provides direct financial support to young adults with a history of any type of cancer for a wide range of “real life” expenses. Since 2005, The SAMFund has awarded over $600,000 in grants and scholarships to individuals across the country, and will be posting the application for 2011 grants next month. All money raised through this Grand Plan campaign will go directly to young adults this fall!
Please help me reach my goal by donating whatever you can. Together we can make a very real difference in someone else’s life!
If you’d rather send in a check, please make it out to The SAMFund and mail it to The SAMFund, 89 South Street, Suite LL02, Boston, MA 02111 (don’t forget to put my name in the subject line!). All donations are 100% tax deductible. To learn more about The SAMFund, visit http://www.thesamfund.org.
