U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan befriend local animals as a way to help cope with the emotional hardships they endure every day while deployed in a war zone. The Operation Baghdad Pups program provides veterinary care and coordinates complicated logistics and transportation requirements in order to reunite these beloved pets with their service men and women back in the U.S. These important animals not only help our heroes in the war zone, but they also help them readjust to life back home after combat.
Without Operation Baghdad Pups, a majority of service members could not afford to bring their special companions home from the Middle East. Your donation will help us provide soldiers with travel crates, vaccinations, transportation for their animal to the Baghdad Airport and transport home.
Here are the facts:
$20 can provide absorbent pads, food, and water for a dog or cat while they travel
$75 can buy an airline crate for transport
$150 can cover the cost of vaccinations and travel paperwork
$4,000 to save one animal
Please, help today and start your own personal fundraising page. Share this with your family and friends and spread the word about how important this program is to our troops.
The process is fast, easy and secure. Thank you for your support!
Operation Baghdad Pups - Rescued to date: 284 dogs, 76 cats, 1 donkey
