February 18, 2012, I'll be joining with hundreds of other Anchorage citizens as we walk one cold mile to show support for our neighbors in need -- and United Way's long-term goal of keeping families housed, warm and the path to financial stability.
You can help us reach that goal by making a donation to United Way's Walk for Warmth, and support at-risk Anchorage families with heating utility assistance in these harsh winter months. The process is fast, easy, and secure. I truly appreciate any support you can provide. In addition to supporting a great cause, if I raise $250 on my personal fundraising page, I'll be entered to win some great donated prizes -- but I need your help to reach that goal!
Last year, proceeds from the first ever Walk for Warmth helped 75 families throughout Anchorage and Eagle River keep the heat on and stay housed. Your gift can help us reach even more of our neighbors in need this year. A little aid in paying utility bills will help to keep a family warm -- and even more, it may be the tipping point in keeping a family housed. A gift to Walk for Warmth is a powerful way to address that need.
If you can’t make a donation at this point, you can still help! Join me at the Walk for Warmth on Saturday, February 18 and show your support for this important cause. You can also help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter -- or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!
Thanks so much for your generosity. LIVE UNITED!
