This very minute, as you read this information, there are 23 children in the town of Peddapuram, India in need of a place to live.  We’re not talking about 23 possible orphans; rather, 23 precious children who are in need of shelter, food, clothing, medical care and education…right now.

Presently, they are being cared for by loving members of local churches, but this is a temporary solution – the permanent solution is to build a home – an orphanage - where they will be cared for and safe. For the price that many Americans pay for a car we can build an orphanage to house these children where their physical needs will be met and they will be introduced the God who created them.  We call this endeavor, The Cornerstone Project and base it on the passage, “…you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.”

The Cornerstone Project is the primary objective of Agapao Ministries with the purpose to raise funds for a building that will provide a home for these children. To accomplish this we are currently seeking financial donations to help build this orphanage through a partnership with a local church in the same village.  Once the building is completed and furnished we will also work to provide funding for on-going support that will provide food, medical attention and education for the children on a monthly basis. When completed, the orphanage will house fifty orphans and staff to care for them.
