Bladder cancer is the fifth most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States, yet most people know nothing about it.

Last year, over 70,000 people in the US were diagnosed with bladder cancer and over 14,000 people died from it.

On Saturday, May 5, 2012, people across the country will be joining the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network to Walk for Bladder Cancer.  I am walking in honor of my Grandad, Roy Forkey, who recently passed away from this disease after a four-year battle. Not only will this walk help to keep his memory alive, it will promote awareness for this, otherwise, unknown cancer.
