On August 11th, I'll be part of a team competing in the Spartan Race – the world’s leading obstacle race series. But I'm racing for something far bigger than any personal goals.

On July 1st, I got the news that Maureen Minnick, beloved wife to my good friend and colleage Steve Minnick, and mother to two beautiful young boys, Henry and Sean, lost her battle with cancer. She was and is an angel, and all our collective hearts are broken. 

I am going to be racing in honor of Maureen, and will be raising money in support of Henry and Sean's education fund. Your initial donation will go to my 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Tap Cancer Out, but rest assured that every cent will be given directly to Henry and Sean. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the Minnick family is a private party, which 501(c)(3)'s can not directly support, Tap Cancer Out can't report the donations as earnings. This means that your donations are not tax-deductible. However, rest assured that every cent will still be given directly to Henry and Sean. 

My teammate's donations will still support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 

My goal is to raise at least $5,000, but I can't do it without your help!
