My Page "The Strawberries are for Everyone"
is Dedicated to Robin Edge
"I dedicate this page and my fund raising to the memory of one of my life teachers.
My brother in law Robin Edge was an amazing story teller and encouraged me to pursue the things I love in life and the people I love in life.
He taught me to fight predjudice, ignorance and greed to speak up for what is right.
In many ways he taught me how to live and in his final months - taught me how to die.
"Enjoy your life fully, serve others and when its time - let go with grace."
Approximately 2 in 5 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. It's estimated that more than 500,000 people will die from cancer in 2012. April is Cancer Control Month and I'm raising money to help fund important cancer research.
On National High Five Day, April 19th, I'm going to give 55 high-fives as part of a National High-5-A-Thon to support four organizations doing cutting-edge cancer research:
- The Gateway For Cancer Research in Illinois
- The Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in San Diego
- The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle
- The V Foundation For Cancer Research in North Carolina.
Please help support these four great organizations with a donation today.
Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500 -- everything helps.
