Folks,

This summer, I'm going to camp. It's a virtual creative writing camp called Camp NaNoWriMo. While I'm there, I'll be knocking out an entire novel in just one month. Probably twice. (Camp runs two sessions this year and I am in fact crazy.) 

When I was a kid, I was a voracious reader and writer. My friends were voracious readers and writers. We made it through junior high school and high school because we were readers and writers. But even with all that encouragement and help, writing enough words to fill a novel is a challenge. 

Camp NaNoWriMo is free. The nonprofit that hosts it runs four writing events every year. For each of those events, they use donations to pay for hosting, events, and supplies to turn hesitent writers (even voracious ones like me) into confident writers.  

I'm raising money to help the the Office of Letters and Light (the aforementioned nonprofit)  that puts it on every year keep the virtual campfire glowing and the inspiration flowing for me and thousands of my fellow campers.

Every dollar I raise will keep my spirits high as I write my way towards the realization of my creative goals. More importantly, your contribution will help the Office of Letters and Light build a more engaged and inspiring world.
