‘THE HORROR STARLETS’ TO BOWL FOR BOOBIES
Hollywood Horror Actresses Unite to Raise Money for Women Battling Breast Cancer
Demonstrating that their interests lay not only in cinematic hack and slash, a bevy of hot horror actresses have united for the fourth year running for a good cause: to support local Los Angeles women battling breast cancer, via their participation with The Busted Foundation (a non-profit charity which provides monetary assistance to women who are experiencing financial challenges as the result of fighting and living with the deadly disease).
Organized by Dreadcentral.com writer Sean Decker, ‘The Horror Starlets’ 2012 team is comprised of the returning Ashlynn Yennie (of The Human Centipede films), Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever), Allison Kyler (Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2), Brooke Lewis (Slime City Massacre), Sarah Butler (I Spit On Your Grave) and Carlee Baker (The Woman). Joining them are Natalie Victoria (DeadHeads), Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Barbara Nedeljakova (of Eli Roth’s Hostel films).
In addition to their goal of raising breast cancer awareness, the team is set to participate in the 8th Annual Bowling For Boobies®, which tales place on October 21st in Los Angeles at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal City Walk with a red carpet, followed by an evening of bowling, raffles and giveaways, with the proceeds to directly benefit women struggling with breast cancer. Joining the ‘The Horror Starlets’ will be The Go-Go’s Jane Wiedlin and Thomas Jane of Reno 911, among other celebrities.
Actress, Natalie Victoria, of zombie/comedy DEADHEADS says, “Cancer is a crippling disease that touches us all in some way. Over the last few years, I’ve known close friends who’ve fought the cancer battle, and although survived – they live in constant fear that it’ll return. Cancer is an immense struggle; physically, emotionally, and financially. Those diagnosed, and fighting are some of the strongest people I know and they simply touch my heart. For me, nothing in life is more important than giving back, and if I can be part of something that helps bring joy to just one woman’s battle with this disease, then I feel I’ve accomplished at least a little of my purpose in life. For that, I feel honored to be a part of ‘The Horror Starlets’ team, and I hope our genre fans will connect with us in spreading some love, as well as movie fans and the caring public at large. Let’s be honest – I am a horrible bowler, but I am going to do my best to raise as much money as possible for this important cause. I hope you join me and ‘The Horror Starlets’ team in donating to Bowling for Boobies.”
