Help Us Help Disabled Kids ~
It's tough to be a kid facing disabilities - and you have to face your fears every day. I know this from having been a seriously disabled adult for a decade as I faced a broken back, life in a body brace and a diagnosis of terminal cancer.
I was lucky. Through Yoga I managed to heal and become whole. Most of the kids in KIT(Kids Included Together), a San Diego charity, will have their disabilities for their entire lives... but we can help them feel included instead of left out, offering them opportunities to participate in recreational programs in ways they never dreamed possible, giving them hope, self-esteem and joy. This is what KIT does, and I invite you to join me in helping them out.
The Event: Over the Edge!
On Saturday, August 18, my son, Morgan, and I will go Over the Edge of the spectacular Grand Hyatt on San Diego Bay, the west coast's tallest waterfront building, facing our fears and rappelling down from the 33rd story.
