Cancer is a devestating and debilitating disease both for the patients and their families and friends, among one of the worst is cancer of the brain. In 2003 I lost my dear Grandmother Donna Katz to Brain Cancer in December of 2003, and since then I've seen far too many other members of my family and friends, including my Grandmother Ruth and Aunt Sherry, also affected by other forms of Cancer.

This year, for my 26th birthday, I'm raising funds directly for Brain Cancer Research. Any funds donated through this page will go directly to Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, a leading organization in helping to find both a cure for brain cancer, as well as develop new and better treatments for those currently diagnosed.

I'm not asking for much, anything you can donate will go an incredibly long way in helping those affected by cancer. I've donated the first $40 in route to my overall goal of $2,600 for my 26th birthday.

Thanks for taking a look, and if you can't donate at this time please consider sharing my page by way of  Facebook, Twitter,  and/or Email to help me get the word out.

Love all of you,

- Brad

About

The Organization:

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure

Our mission is to invest in research aimed at finding the fastest possible route to a cure. We believe that a nimble, focused and aggressive entrepreneurial model will increase the number of therapies discovered and then enable those therapies to be more rapidly driven into the clinic. We provide researchers with the pivotal support they need to make critical breakthroughs. We fund novel translational research aimed at finding the fastest possible route to a cure. Our partners range from medical research centers to early-stage biotechnology companies to large multi-national pharmaceutical companies. These partners all share a vision of driving translational research and moving treatments as fast as possible from basic discovery to the clinic. Since brain cancer affects a relatively small portion of the population, we recognize the importance of investing in the early stages of the most novel sectors of the discovery and development pipeline in order to “buy down the risk” for our partners and speed progress of innovative new treatments to the clinic.
