Hi,

I am Margarita Elizondo, Ms. Wheelchair California 1st Runner Up 2010. On June 22, 2006 I suffered a Spinal Cord Injory. (I am a C/6-7 quad.) I am also the proud daughter of a great Dad that suffered a Brain Injury when I was just 15 years old and my awesome son is ADHD and has Intermittent Explosive Disorder. My work experience prior to my SCI was working with the developmentally disabled in work readiness and as a home care provider.

As you can see, disability is very natural to me and I want to encourage others to view disability this way also! Inclusion is the idea that despite our body types or different way of doing things, we can all integrate peacefully and joyfully!
