It’s time for Calling All Crows’ 5th Annual Northampton Halloween 5K! This zany fun run/walk -- in costume -- through the streets of Downtown Northampton, Massachusetts is Calling All Crows’ premier grassroots fundraising event, drawing supporters from all over the Northeast and beyond. Since 2009, the Northampton Halloween 5K has raised over $85,000 to support projects aimed at channeling the energy of the live music scene to make a difference both locally and globally.
WHAT WILL THE MONEY RAISED AT THIS YEAR'S EVENT SUPPORT?
This coming year, Calling All Crows aims to organize 50 service projects -- more than double our impact in the previous 12 months! To do so, we need to raise $15,000 to provide at least 600 volunteers (12 volunteers/project, $25/volunteer) with transformative service experiences.
In addition to the volunteer donation requested at registration, it costs Calling All Crows $25 to provide a service experience for one music fan volunteer.
This year's Northampton Halloween 5K (NH5K) will allow Calling All Crows to reach this goal by fundraising to support the cost of each volunteer opportunity. $25 per service experience covers tools and materials for the volunteer, a contribution to the service partner, and Calling All Crows staff time organizing and leading the project.
How many volunteer opportunities will YOU help provide this coming year?
Remember the time(s) you've volunteered with Calling All Crows: meeting other music fans who become new friends, discovering organizations that are doing good things in your community, and getting to connect on a personal level with an artist or band to make a difference.
Help us provide this kind of experience for music fans like yourself who believe we can make a difference through the shared experience of music and service.

The rules are pretty simple:
- Get out there, shop, and find the very best outfit you can.
- A prize will be awarded to the best costume under $25. All tags must still be attached!
- Wear any combination of your own clothes plus thrift. Any weird or wacky combo goes... and is highly encouraged!
NEW FOR 2013: LOCAL BAND FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE!
Are you a musician? Do you and/or your band want to open for Chadwick Stokes?!
Simply create a team with your act's name, recruit bandmates and friends to participate in the NH5K with you, and then encourage your fans to donate to support your team. The top fundraising band team by midnight on October 22nd gets to play a 20-minute opening set at the Iron Horse on Saturday night and 6 guest list spots for the show! And to say thanks, Calling All Crows will also plan a local service project for your band and fans sometime in 2014. Good luck!
ABOUT CALLING ALL CROWS
Calling All Crows partners with musicians and fans to create change through hands-on service and activism. Through pre-show service projects, Alternative Break Tours, and concert outreach activities, we increase the awareness of and take action to address social issues, creating a community of empowered and engaged music fans for the common good. We work for a future when the success of live music is measured not only by ticket sales, but by the impact of fans and musicians mobilizing together to make a difference in the world.
