The CLASSY Awards is an awards competition recognizing the top philanthropic achievements by charities, businesses, and individuals in eight major cities nationwide: Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Starting October 9th, America will vote for one winner in each of the ten categories. The winners will be announced live during a Hollywood-esque award ceremony in San Diego, CA, similar in style to the Academy Awards, but philanthropy-inspired. Last year's award winners rappelled off buildings to raise money, started orphanages for abused and neglected children in Mexico, and built giant structures out of tens of thousands of cans to collect food donations. The entire event will be streamed live on NBC affiliates' websites in the participating cities.
The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 7 in Downtown San Diego, CA featuring a host of celebrity presenters, top-tier entertainment, nonprofit & technology leaders, and hundreds (if not thousands) of CLASSY Awards supporters. More than $100,000 in the form of cash and in-kind services will be donated to support the charitable efforts of the ten (10) National CLASSY Awards Winners!

If you'd like to park at the Civic Theater, we recommend the Evan V. Jones Concourse Parkade — this 11-story facility offers easy access to the Civic Theatre entrance (take elevators to Street 'S' level). You can avoid many of the traffic back-ups by utilizing the 1st Avenue & B Street or the 2nd Avenue & A Street entrances (3rd Avenue & B Street entrance is the most heavily used). Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - $10.00 per vehicle, flat rate.
If you opt for public transportation, the entrance to the Civic Theatre is just one short block north of the Civic Center Trolley stop. Just walk through the plaza west of the City Administration Building or walk north on 3rd Avenue.
