As you know, I've been on the Ground in the Gulf of Mexico with other Team Members (partially self-funded & on my own time as well as with YOUR support - the support of friends, families, communities and other leaders like you!!!) now since June 28th working hard to clean up the Gulf oil spill, rescuing wildlife, raising awareness and bringing people/leaders together to find a bio-friendly solution to clean up the millions of barrels of spilled oil threatening our beaches, wildlife, jobs and life in the Gulf. The Gulf of Mexico is a major source of seafood for the country. The critical habitat of Brown Pelicans and other endangered bird species are now destroyed & threatened and need to be restored in the Gulf in what is known as "America's Wetland". There are countless sea creatures such as Dolphins, Redfish and the Blue Crab - some of which I have witnessed smoldering in the oil first hand.
I'm proud to say with YOUR support Team Gulf managed to be a major resource for people and volunteers to come from places far away such as Colorado, New Zealand, San Diego, Chicago, Madison, and Austin Texas to get on ground zero to see for themselves what can be learned from disasters that threaten our water and coastlines. Together, people from all over the country & the globe made a difference whether that be from rescuing an oiled crab, abandoned & malnourished cats and dogs (from gulf families that couldn't afford to care for their animals anymore), creatively seeking out partnerships to do testing 40 miles away from the Deepwater Horizon, producing a documentary, wading chest high in Gulf of Mexico oiled waters to monitor exposure of oil on birds to supporting the first testing of a bio-friendly oil cleaning solution....Team Gulf was there for all of it.
"We are here fostering teamwork with anyone who wants to restore the economy & ecology of the region and to be of service to the community - to listen to local people and find out what's needed. We are inspiring people to see no matter who they are or where they live...we can make a difference when we work together as ONE Team."
"When this happened, I couldn't ignore the depth and impact of this so I packed up myself & my two dogs and drove to Louisiana from San Diego. This is a beautiful, precious and vast eco-system with an abundance of history, culture, wildlife and opportunities."
With continued support my plans are to have TEAM Gulf continue to build a Global Resource Network (GRN) to support citizens and leaders in the Gulf and we need your help to continue our critical work by providing necessary funding. The more funding we have the longer we can stay down here.
A Call to Action!
Every donation makes a direct difference even if it's $5, $10, $25 $100 or more. YOU make a difference.
Thank you from all of us here on ground zero,
Miche A Walsh Co-Founder/Leadership Director

Eduardo Jose Martinez power to team gulf...
Remmic Lewis You'll need to find a really good detox to get those chemicals out of your system. I'm looking into one too. Keep your chin up and know that many people are praying for and cheering you on!
