Last year, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade was able to bring culinary greats together in Los Angeles to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. There were over 800 attendees and more than $300K raised to help many children fighting cancer.

The only thing that could be better than a cook out prepared by world famous chefs, signature drinks, live music and celebrities; would be finding a cure for childhood cancer! On Sunday, November 7, 2010, more than 25 of the country’s top chefs and mixologist did their part to find a cure, by joining hosts Suzanne Goin, Carolyn Stein and David Lentz, and honorary event chair Jennifer Garner, for the inaugural LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade Event; a decadent chefs cook out. The steps of the historic Culver Studios Mansion served as the perfect location for master of ceremonies Jim Belushi, to welcome more than 1,000 people in attendance, sharing the inspirational story of Alexandra “Alex” Scott. Mentioned as the “Culinary Event of the Year in Los Angeles”, by the gastronomic website, Eater.com; chefs prepared samples of signature dishes for guest to try; while vinters from around the world poured samples of their wine. Of course, no Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation event would be complete without a lemonade stand run by children!
