The Carolina Cup!
The Carolina Cup, a non-profit race with 4 courses: a kids race, a recreational fun race, an open race, and an elite race, kicks off the 2012 WBPC season. The race helps raise money for Athletes 4 Cancer and Surfers Healing.
The Carolina Cup was the largest race on the East Coast in 2011. In 2012, we hope to double the number of participants. We are very excited to have a new location: The Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC.
We are also planning a number of fun events that will make this a true standup paddle destination event. It'll be one that you can plan a 3-day weekend and bring the whole family!
